Working with brides each day helps us to understand how brides think. We realize that you have more on your mind than ever before. Today’s post will help you take all of your thoughts and get them on paper.
Make a Wedding Planning “To-Do List”
Making a To-Do List is one of the best ways to organize your thoughts as you prepare for your wedding. There are many ways to make your list but we will share a few easy steps that will help.
Write down or type everything you think needs to be done before your wedding day. You can include both wedding related and non-wedding items as long as you are specific. He list can include anything from renting chocolate fountains to getting new tires on your car. It’s simple, if it has to get done before the wedding, write it down.
Make sure you aren’t missing any important details. You might think that you have every aspect of your wedding taken care of but many brides forget about important details. To avoid this, use the internet. It is easy to find lists of everything that should be considered when wedding planning.
Organize your list. Take your list and separate the wedding related tasks and the other tasks. Number each task according to its importance using a 1, 2 or 3. You can also separate things that need to be done by you and things that can be done by the groom. Make sure that you work on the most important items very first.
Write a date next to each item on your list. This date should represent the day that the task needs to be completed by. For example, your wedding invitations should be sent out at least 2 months before the wedding. There are other tasks that don’t need to be completed until the week of the wedding.
Now that you have made your list, it is important to work on your list as you plan. Every bride ends up changing her mind at some point during the planning process. Continually update and change your list as you continue to plan for your wedding.
Wedding planning is very stressful. If you are organized with your wedding planning, we promise you a better experience. Happy Wedding Planning!
